Training of Young Promoters for
Peace and Nonviolence


The “Social Laboratory for Nonviolence” is a participative project, multidisciplinary and intercultural which aims at broadening the theoretical and practical knowledge on nonviolence, to go deep on the understanding of its concept, its history and the diversity of its practices.

The main goal is the training og young peace promoters, preferably originary from the red areas where they want to perform their work. By means of a theoretical and practice training program, the students receive didactic materials needed to take the first step to become promoters.

Introduction to Nonviolence Workshop

It is a course based in gandhian philosophy and the studies on peace and conflict, which offers an up-to-date critical view, focused on our context of the challenges that represent the application of nonviolence in our country, analyzing its relevance and extents. This is the workshop prior to the course that every promoter must pass.

Nonviolence Promoters Network

After completing this training, the participants will acquire the necessary skills to apply the theoretical and methodological tools in their own reality and with the possibility to replicate them in different spaces. It is an integral training, seeking to train peace promoters in Mexico and other parts of the world.
